Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), on the afternoon of July 21, the city leaders visited and presented gifts to families of people with meritorious service to the revolution in several localities, and encouraged the teams currently tasked with searching for and repatriating martyrs’ remains.

A highlight of this issue is the information about the conference held by the Hue City Party Committee to announce the Standing Committee’s Decision on the establishment of the Specialized Research Team to assist the Standing Board, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee.

On the afternoon of July 14, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, and socio-political organizations, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of Team 192, who are carrying out the “500 days and nights campaign to search, recover, and identify martyrs’ remains”.

On the afternoon of July 8, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with Hoang Sy Club as well as various dance and folk dance clubs, teams, and groups, organized the “Ao Dai Dance 2026” exchange program in response to Hue Ao Dai Week 2026.

A decade ago, Kimura Brazilian Jiujitsu Hue was merely a grassroots martial arts club with a few dozen practitioners training for fitness and self-defense. Few could have predicted that this very club would become the backbone of the Hue City Jujitsu team, later clinching numerous titles in both continental and global arenas.

On the afternoon of June 23, the Phu Xuan Ward Women's Union organized a cooking competition themed “Flavours of home - Connecting through love”, attracting more than 130 participants. The event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28, 2001 - June 28, 2026).

Although Hue's wrestling team fell short of the gold medal it had hoped for at the 2026 Asian Wrestling Championships for Age Groups, the achievement tells a broader story, one of succession, training quality, and young talents steadily coming of age.

On the afternoon of June 12th, Hue University held the semifinal round of the 2nd “Hue University Innovation Solutions Competition 2026”.

The short film ‘Trong Thuc’ (‘The Drumbeat of Awakening’) is a project created by a team of students in Hue. By approaching tuong through the language of cinema, these young people are exploring new approaches to preserving and spreading cultural heritage.

On June 1st, Hue City Association of the Blind, in collaboration with Sao Mai Center for the Blind, organized a training program on job application preparation and teamwork skills for visually impaired students, university students, and young association members in the locality.
