The short film ‘Trong Thuc’ (‘The Drumbeat of Awakening’) is a project created by a team of students in Hue. By approaching tuong through the language of cinema, these young people are exploring new approaches to preserving and spreading cultural heritage.

On June 1st, Hue City Association of the Blind, in collaboration with Sao Mai Center for the Blind, organized a training program on job application preparation and teamwork skills for visually impaired students, university students, and young association members in the locality.

At the beginning of 2026, shuttlecock athlete Le Van Dong was honored with a commendation certificate from the Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee for winning the Men’s Team Gold Medal at the 3rd Asian Shuttlecock Championship in 2025.

On the morning of May 23rd, the University of Law, Hue University, in coordination with Da Nang Representative Office of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam and Tilleke & Gibbins, held the opening ceremony for the 6th “Student Innovation and Intellectual Property” Competition 2026 under the theme “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence”.

On the morning of May 17th, Hue City Youth and Children Center organized the 6th Expanded Skills Festival for clubs, teams, and groups in Hue City in 2026 at the Quoc Hoc Stele Square in Thuan Hoa Ward.

According to the Director of the Management Board of Phong Dien Nature Reserve, Mr. Le Van Huong, on the afternoon of May 17, the reserve, in coordination with Vietnam Nature Conservation Centre, deployed a camera-trap system in a targeted area to monitor wildlife and pheasant species, aiming to record population data of general wildlife as well as pheasants in particular within the reserve. Through this effort, the team recorded the presence of multiple endangered and critically endangered species.

On the afternoon of May 14, at Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Young Pioneer Council of Hue City organized a flower-offering ceremony, a merit-reporting ceremony to Uncle Ho, and a commendation program honoring outstanding teachers as Young Pioneer Team Leaders and exemplary children of the city in 2026.

At the 2026 Beach Wrestling World Championships held from May 9th - 10th at My Khe Beach in Da Nang, two athletes from Hue wrestling team contributed two bronze medals to Vietnam wrestling’s overall success.

On the afternoon of May 10, the opening ceremony of Hue Student Football Tournament (Hue Students SV7 2026 - Intrase Cup), organized by Hue University, took place at the artificial turf field complex of Chi Lang High School.

The National 3x3 Basketball Championship for Strong Teams and U20 2026 officially opened on the evening of May 10 at Aeon Mall Hue Shopping Center.
