For four consecutive years, Hue City has ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). This is a remarkable achievement for Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City), especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition among localities to attract investment. The result not only reflects a stable business and investment environment, but also demonstrates a significant shift in governance mindset and the improved quality of the civil servants – a pioneering force in building a service-oriented government.

On the morning of May 20th, the Department of Tourism and NOL UNIVERSE Joint Stock Company from South Korea officially signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation to strengthen connections, promote tourism development, and enhance the distinctive value of Hue City as a destination.

On May 19, the ceremony of signing sponsorship between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and Carlsberg Vietnam was held at Hue City People’s Committee. Accordingly, the Huda beer brand will continue to be the Platinum Sponsor of Hue Festival 2025 with a total sponsorship of up to 9.5 billion VND.

Along with the recovery and growth in tourist numbers, the luxury travel segment within Vietnam’s tourism industry in general - and Hue’s in particular - is gradually gaining attraction. The “smokeless industry” of the ancient capital is showing many positive signs, suggesting that with proper investment, it could become an attractive destination for wealthy travelers.

On the afternoon of May 15, at the Hue City People’s Committee headquarters, a sponsorship signing ceremony took place between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), marking BIDV’s collaboration in key cultural and tourism events during the National Tourism Year in Hue.

The lotus is one of the beautiful symbols of serenity, peace, and tranquility. In Hue, the lotus blooming season usually begins in May and June, when the weather changes into hot and sultry days. This time also coincides with April of the Lunar year, the time marked with the significant event of the Grand Buddhism Celebration (Vesak).

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, Hue emerged as a popular destination. Alongside tour groups organized by travel agencies, a significant number of tourists opted for self-guided tours, renting cars or driving themselves to key attractions in the city.

“Enterprises make a significant contribution to the economy. Therefore, in its development orientation, Hue City consistently focuses on creating an environment that fosters and promotes business growth,” shared Mr. Phan Quoc Son, Deputy Director of Hue City’s Department of Finance, with Hue Today Weekly.

The National Tourism Year (NTY) - Hue 2025 represents a major opportunity for Hue’s tourism industry. The key issue is how to ensure that by the end of NTY, Hue gains significant “profit,” not only in visitor numbers.
