Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hue City Le Truong Luu; former Member of the Party Central Committee and former Secretary of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee (now Hue City) Ho Xuan Man; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City Nguyen Khac Toan; along with current and former city leaders from different periods, representatives of central ministries and agencies, departments and sectors, and a large number of partners and medical staff.
Hue International General Hospital was invested and constructed with a total capital of more than 2.3 trillion VND, consists of 16 above-ground floors and two basement levels, with a total usable floor area of over 20.000 m² and more than 260 hospital beds. The examination, treatment, and inpatient spaces are designed in a modern and synchronized manner, creating favorable conditions for patients and their families throughout the processes of care, treatment, and recovery. Operating under a general hospital model, the hospital provides a comprehensive system of medical services, ensuring accuracy, safety, and effectiveness, and meeting increasingly high demand for medical examination and treatment of the community.
The hospital’s commissioning is expected to make an important contribution to enhancing medical examination and treatment capacity in the city and the Central region, enabling local residents to access modern, high-quality healthcare services locally, while also helping to alleviate overload pressure on the public healthcare system. In the long term, the hospital aims not only to serve domestic patients but also to expand the provision of international-standard medical services to the Southeast Asian region.

According to Mr. Tran Dinh Van - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hue International General Hospital Joint Stock Company, the facility is built and operated under a modern “Hospital – Hotel” model, combining specialized medical treatment with comfortable accommodation and recuperation spaces. This is a trend that has been effectively implemented in many countries with developed healthcare systems, such as Singapore and European nations, helping to enhance patient experience and support physical and mental recovery. With this orientation, Hue International General Hospital is regarded as a pioneering model in the Central region, contributing to bringing international healthcare standards closer to the public.

On the occasion of the inauguration, Hue International General Hospital donated 300 million VND to the Social Security Fund of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City. The activity demonstrates a spirit of social responsibility, sharing, and commitment to accompanying local authorities in ensuring social welfare and community health.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Khac Toan congratulated the investor, the Board of Directors, the team of doctors and medical staff, and all hospital employees for their efforts in overcoming numerous difficulties to complete the project on schedule and officially put it into operation. He emphasized that the addition of a large-scale, modern international hospital marks an important milestone, contributing to meeting the people’s growing healthcare needs.
According to the Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, as a national and regional center for advanced healthcare, Hue possesses a system of reputable hospitals and medical training institutions, along with a team of leading experts and physicians. The operation of Hue International General Hospital further affirms the goal of building the city into a modern, high-quality healthcare center befitting its status as a centrally-governed municipality; at the same time, it contributes to promoting the application of science and technology, improving the quality of medical services, and reducing the burden on public healthcare facilities.
City leaders also promised to always accompany and create favorable conditions for the hospital to operate effectively and develop sustainably, while expressing the hope that the hospital will continue to focus on developing high-quality human resources, investing in modern equipment and technologies, expanding international cooperation, and upholding medical ethics - the core foundation of the healthcare sector.
The inauguration and operation of Hue International General Hospital are significant not only in healthcare terms but also in creating jobs, contributing to the development of urban services, and making a positive contribution to the socio-economic growth of Hue City in the coming period.
