Immediately following the signing ceremony, the first batch of electric buses was handed over and put into operation under the local plan to deploy six electric bus routes in Con Dao.

Under the agreement, Kim Long Motor Hue will supply a total of 38 fully electric buses for Con Dao’s public transport system. The vehicles are equipped with next-generation battery technology manufactured domestically, meeting requirements for stable operation under continuous service conditions, while significantly reducing noise and eliminating on-site emissions.

Since the beginning of 2025, Kim Long Motor Hue has produced and delivered nearly 700 electric buses to transport operators for deployment in Ho Chi Minh City and several neighbouring localities. This forms part of the growing trend toward expanding the use of electric public transportation in major urban areas, amid increasing pressure related to environmental protection and infrastructure capacity.

Beyond the domestic market, the company is also actively expanding its electric bus exports to several regional and Asian markets.

Within the framework of this cooperation, both parties have also agreed on a long-term orientation to develop a comprehensive and integrated electric mobility ecosystem in Con Dao. In addition to electric buses, smaller electric vehicles with seating capacities ranging from 4 to 7 passengers are expected to be researched and introduced into operation, serving flexible travel needs, eco-tourism, and specialized local services.
