Hue is positioning itself as a green tourism destination. However, building and sustaining this brand requires more than just slogans or movements; it demands unity and responsibility from all stakeholders.

In addition to other potential markets, the tourism sector of the ancient capital is intensifying efforts in promotion, branding, and positioning Hue in European countries. Through a variety of unique programs and activities, Hue’s tourism industry hopes to see strong growth in visitor numbers from this key market in the near future.

At the specialized session on “Green and Sustainable Tourism Development” held on the morning of June 6th within the framework of the 14th East Asian Local Government and Regional Conference, Hue affirmed its pioneering position in the region regarding the development orientation of environmentally-friendly tourism that harmonizes with communities and preserves heritage.

In the years from 1930 to 1937, painter Mai Trung Thu was appointed to teach drawing at Quoc Hoc High School. Here, his talent blossomed. Series of his paintings were born, depicting gentle Hue girls, the charming scenery of the Huong river and the temples and royal mausoleums. His paintings in Hue rendered him a solid position in modern Vietnamese painting.

On February 15, the Employment Service Center – the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs held the opening ceremony of the Month of Job Fair in 2025 with the theme “Spring Connecting Jobs”. On November 30, 2024, the National Assembly passed the Resolution to establish Hue City under the Central Government from January 1, 2025, and the Resolution on the restructuring of district and commune-level administrative units of Hue City, in the 2023 - 2025 period. Hue City (under Thua Thien Hue Province) will be divided into two districts: Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa.

There are more than two months left until late 2024, but it can be confirmed that Thua Thien Hue's women's wrestling has had a brilliant year of success with the top position in many leading national tournaments.

The Job Transaction Month with the theme of “September, the Autumn of Recruitment” in 2024 is being organized by the Provincial Employment Service Center from now until the end of September, to promote the connection between labor supply and demand in the province. The Job Transaction Month attracts nearly 1,000 students and workers to seek information, receive counseling, and apply for jobs in both in-person and online forms.
