On the morning of January 1st, in the warm sunshine on the first morning of the new year, the area around Ngo Mon Gate of Hue Imperial Citadel became lively as the Nguyen Dynasty Ban Soc ceremony was reenacted in a theatricalized format, officially opening Hue Festival 2026. The event also marked the first festival of the year, attracting a large number of local residents and visitors.

Facing with the growing pressure of increasing household waste volumes, Hue is confronted with the need to renew its approach to urban waste management. On the morning of December 20, at Hue Central Hospital, Vietnam Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (VASLD), and Vietnamese Society of Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgery (VSHBPS), in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, held the opening ceremony of the 18th National Conference of VASLD & VSHBPS with the theme “Promotion of developing for technical progress”, and simultaneously launched the Minimally Invasive Treatment for HBP Chapter of VASLD.

On the morning of December 14, the People's Committee of Phong Dinh Ward held the opening ceremony for the first Phong Dinh Ward Sports Festival in 2025, in preparation for Hue City Sports Festival in 2026.

On the afternoon of December 10, Hue City Fine Arts Association, in collaboration with the University of Arts, Hue University, organized the opening ceremony of the Fine Arts Exhibition celebrating the 74th anniversary of Vietnam Fine Arts Traditional Day (December 10, 1951 - December 10, 2025). The event attracted the participation of many artists and students.
