“Half of the Vietnamese are in Hue” - a playful remark that has become a vivid expression of the strong appeal of tourism in the land of Huong River and Mount Ngu these days. Crowds are flocking to relic sites, pagodas, royal mausoleums, and eateries during the holidays, making the Ancient Capital more vibrant and lively.

More than half a century since the homeland’s liberation (March 26, 1975 – March 26, 2026), Hue’s urban landscape has undergone significant transformation, marked by newly widened roads, bridges spanning rivers and lagoons, modern urban zones, and an increasingly synchronized technical infrastructure system.

After five editions, the VnExpress Marathon Hue has made tangible contributions to the city’s overall development landscape. Its sixth edition (taking place from April 17 to 19) is no exception, promising to provide a strong impetus for Hue’s strategy in developing sports, tourism and socio-economic growth.

On the morning of March 26th, in Chan May - Lang Co Commune (Hue City), FUTA Land Real Estate Joint Stock Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for Chan May Social Housing Project (located in Chan May Urban Area, Lot No. 8). The event was held to mark the 51st anniversary of Hue Liberation Day (March 26th, 1975 - March 26th, 2026).

In 2000, in the short piece entitled “Hue Diary,” written when he returned for the first Hue Festival, musician Trinh Cong Son wrote, “When you have a place to return, or to visit from time to time, you are very fortunate. Continuing the policy of developing boarding inter-level schools (primary - secondary) in land border communes, Hue City People's Committee is preparing to commence construction of the remaining projects in A Luoi communes.

Thanks to the fertile alluvial soil, reliable water sources, and long-standing farming experience, the people of Huong An Ward are gradually transforming this land into one of the largest green onion cultivation areas in Hue City.

The Ban Gioc Waterfall is considered a place with majestic landscape, like a fairyland, on the Quay Son River (Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province).

In recent several months, a great number of flocks of storks have been flying to perch upon the branches of trees by a lake in Thuy Bieu ward, Hue City, creating a picturesque and tranquil scene.
