On January 22nd, Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (Ministry of Education and Training), in coordination with the Department of Education and Training of Hue City, organized a survey workshop in support of research on improving the institutional framework for the development of the education system.

The year 2026, the first year of implementing Resolution 72-NQ/TW on breakthrough solutions for protecting and improving public health, marks a new turning point for healthcare in Hue City. Building on the strong foundation of Hue Central Hospital, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University; and a primary healthcare system undergoing comprehensive reform, Hue is steadily affirming its position as a center for advanced, specialized medical care, with a vision toward becoming a regional hub in Southeast Asia.

Recently, Hue has accelerated its development with the green economy as the central focus, in which the development of green industry is becoming a key pillar, contributing to improving the quality of growth in a sustainable direction.

On the morning of December 22, a workshop was held in Hue City to launch the mission “Promoting human resource management for Vietnamese healthcare system, focusing on HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis prevention and control”. The workshop aimed to finalize the plans, content, and implementation methods for scientific and technological tasks in the new phase, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of local healthcare system.

That was the theme of the First National Scientific Conference for Law Students in 2025, held by the network of Law Training Institutions in Vietnam, in collaboration with the University of Law, Hue University; Hanoi Law University, and Ho Chi Minh University of Industry and Trade on December 19.

On the afternoon of December 15, Hue City Department of Health organized a conference to transfer the commune and ward health stations, in their current condition, from the medical centers to the Commune-level People's Committees for management. This is an important step to implement the City People's Committee's decisions on consolidating the organizational model of grassroots healthcare, towards improving management efficiency and promoting the role of local authorities in primary healthcare for People.

On October 25 in Hue City, Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), in coordination with Hue Football Association, launched the Phase 2 of AFC/VFF A-Level Football Coaching Course. The course aims to enhance the professional expertise of football coaches nationwide.

In the current trend of digital transformation, the healthcare sector of Hue City is leading the way in building a smart hospital model, modernizing medical examination and treatment system, improving service quality, and enhancing patient satisfaction.

On July 29th, the Vietnam Center for the Development of Maternal and Child Health, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital, held the opening ceremony for the first-level postgraduate neonatal medicine training course based on standards from the United Kingdom. This marks an important step forward in improving the quality of neonatal care in Vietnam, particularly in underserved regions.

The construction of Ring Road 3 will begin in September 2025, marking a major milestone in Hue City’s urban transportation infrastructure development strategy. Far more than a conventional road project, this route is seen as a catalyst for expanding urban space, creating strategic land reserves, attracting investment, and improving quality of life for local residents.

After the renovation of Thuy Tien Lake Water Park (Thuy Bang Ward) and the comprehensive investment in transportation infrastructure in Thien An and Vong Canh Hill areas, by early 2025, visitors and locals alike will be amazed by the fresh and visually appealing landscape of this area.
