For Hue City, a land rich in cultural heritage, local specialties, and traditional crafts, e-commerce is opening new pathways and laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth.

“Dear everyone! Let's join hands to make Hue clean and beautiful again soon!” - I paused for a long moment in front of that message - a message sent out by HEPCO (Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company) just as the floodwaters in Hue slowly, little by little, receded, revealing massive amounts of trash and damaged items submerged in the murky water.

From November 5 to 8, the group of friends from Hue Fellow Countrymen Association in Bao Loc, together with Cuong Vy Wedding Center - Bao Loc, Lam Dong, organized a trip to support people affected by the floods, those in difficult circumstances, rescue and relief forces, and schools in Hue City.

On the afternoon of November 7th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Phan Thien Dinh, together with Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City Nguyen Thi Ai Van, received a donation of 1 billion VND from Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company to support the city’s post-flood recovery efforts.

After the historic flooding season in late October 2025, while various areas were still deeply submerged in water, thousands of workers had to temporarily stop working, businesses in Hue City promptly stepped in to share the burden, from providing cash support, salary advances, and safe accommodations to help workers overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize production.

After the prolonged heavy rain and flooding in late October and early November, many traffic routes in Hue were cut off, causing significant difficulties in transporting goods. However, thanks to the proactive efforts of functional units and business households,… the commodity market in the area has basically stabilized, and the supply of essential goods is secured. Although prices have fluctuated, the changes are mainly concentrated on certain fresh products.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has issued a document requesting Hue City People’s Committee to prioritize funding and assign Hue Monuments Conservation Center to continue reviewing the areas along the walls of Hue Imperial Citadel that are at high risk of blowing off.

On the morning of November 6th, at the Forward Command Headquarters located at the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, chaired a hybrid (in-person and online) meeting to urgently implement measures to respond to Storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) with the provinces and cities of Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa.

After four years as a referee, Ngo Viet Phu was named Chief Referee of the Vietnam Mixed Martial Arts Federation (VMMAF) in 2025, becoming the first athlete and coach from Hue to assume the position.

On the afternoon of November 5th, a working delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), led by Standing Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong, visited, encouraged, and presented support gifts to the education sector of Hue City to help overcome flood damage.
