Promoting sustainable and friendly cooperative relationship between Hue and Cergy
HNN.VN - On the afternoon of July 2, Standing Committee Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, had a courtesy meeting with a delegation from the city of Cergy (French Republic) on an official visit to Hue.

The delegation was led by Ms. Malika YEBDRI, First Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture, Cultural Heritage, and International Cooperation.
Mr. Hoang Hai Minh expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation from Cergy, the dynamic administrative and economic center of the Cergy - Pontoise region (France).
Reviewing the cooperation between the two localities, the city leader noted that their relationship has continued to deepen through youth cultural exchange programs implemented in the 2020 - 2022 period, as well as the cooperation program on cultural, artistic, and handicraft exchange carried out during the 2023 - 2025 period.

Ms. Malika YEBDRI expressed her appreciation and sincere gratitude for the warm reception extended by the city’s leaders. She affirmed that Hue has always been a special and trusted partner of Cergy.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen further and expand their friendly cooperative relationship in a practical, effective, and sustainable manner. Priority areas of cooperation include education and training; increasing the exchange of delegations of leaders and experts to promote comprehensive cooperation; leveraging Hue’s heritage strengths and Cergy’s strengths in contemporary art within the framework of Hue Festivals; and sharing experience in green urban planning and the management of public spaces adapted to climate change.
At the same time, the two sides also agreed to continue to carry out youth and student exchange programs, step up two-way tourism promotion, and connect craft villages and artisans to preserve and promote the value of traditional handicrafts.
