On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, on the morning of February 27, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, visited and congratulated the leaders, staff, and medical teams at several medical facilities in the area.

On the first working day following the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 holiday, the number of patients seeking medical examination and treatment at healthcare facilities across Hue roses again. Several illnesses had increased, particularly among the elderly and patients with underlying conditions.

Amid complex developments of Nipah virus disease in several countries, Hue City’s health sector is stepping up surveillance and implementing proactive prevention and control measures to prevent the risk of the disease entering and spreading within the community.

On the afternoon of December 15, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Vietnam and Hue Help, held a conference to share a summary and evaluation of the results of the Child Drowning Prevention Project during the 2024-2025 period, while also calling for investment sponsorship for the next phase.

After the historic flood at the end of October, many businesses, production facilities, and household businesses in Hue City were seriously affected. Every summer, blood shortages occur at many medical facilities across the country, including Hue Central Hospital - one of the top-tier hospitals that continuously receives a large number of emergency and treatment cases. To ensure an adequate blood supply for saving lives, the hospital has proactively launched an internal blood donation campaign and called on the community to join hands for the sake of patients’ lives.

The expansion of Hue Brewery Plant, once completed, will become one of the most modern beer production facilities in the country. It will help enhance the company’s competitiveness while serving as a core driver in the local processing industry.

Aiming to create a clean, friendly tourism environment for the health of the community, efforts to prevent and control the harmful effects of tobacco at accommodation facilities, hotels, and resorts in Hue City have recently been strengthened and effectively implemented. Many hotels not only strictly comply with legal regulations but have also creatively developed smoke-free models in alignment with green and sustainable tourism development.

From June 11 to 13, Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the French-Vietnamese Respiratory Association (AFVP), organized an advanced training course on sleep disorders. The program aimed to update and enhance knowledge of sleep disorders for doctors and nurses from healthcare facilities across the country.
