Accommodation facilities enhance guest experiences and refresh reception services

HNN.VN - This year’s National Day vacation (September 2nd) is again bringing a surge of tourists to Hue. Alongside careful facility preparation, many accommodation businesses in the city have proactively refreshed their services, paying attention to even small details in the guest experience to give visitors a joyful, comfortable holiday.

More experiences, more delight

In the restaurant space of Muong Thanh Holiday Hue Hotel, the National Day atmosphere is reflected in the decor throughout many areas. National flags are beautifully displayed in every corner of the restaurant. On some dishes, the kitchen staff cleverly add small red flags with yellow stars, creating a familiar color scheme and festive atmosphere for September 2nd.

Alongside European and Asian dishes, the restaurant menu has also been refreshed with many delicious specialties characteristic of Hue. This change not only gives visitors more choices and variety but also creates interesting little corners for capturing photos during their journey exploring Hue.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Hang, a visitor from Hai Phong, shared that she stayed in Hue for three days during her trip to Da Nang and Hue. What pleased her was not only the clean, tidy room space or the hotel’s responsiveness in listening to and quickly resolving guest feedback, but also the experiences created within the restaurant space itself.

“As someone from the North, I had previously heard that the way food is prepared in Hue is quite different. In reality, every dish I tried was delicious. Perhaps the restaurant has adjusted its cooking methods to make Hue dishes more suitable for visitors from other regions,” said Ms. Hang.

At Eldora Hue Hotel, the breakfast buffet menu is changed regularly, giving guests new options each day of their stay. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, Front Office Manager of Eldora Hue Hotel, said that guest numbers during the holiday are quite high and demand is more diverse. Therefore, the hotel proactively adjusts its menu, adding and changing dishes to make guests’ breakfasts richer.

Beyond focusing on the restaurant space, accommodation facilities are also paying attention to every detail of the service process. According to leaders of several hotels in the city, the surge in visitors during the holiday is an opportunity to promote the destination’s image, while also raising the requirements for service quality. As a result, comfort, room quality, and service attitude were emphasized. Ahead of the holiday, most hotels reviewed their spaces, equipment, and service quality, focusing on cleanliness, comfort, full amenities, safety, and consistency with advertised information.

In addition, staff have been reminded to maintain their friendliness, professionalism, and readiness to assist and quickly handle guest requests. Some departments have also added seasonal staff to meet service demands during peak days.

Ms. Catherine McInnes, a visitor from England, shared: “My family came to Hue and stayed at Eldora Hotel. Everything here has been wonderful. The room is spacious. The experience has been very good. And the staff are friendly and enthusiastic."

Coordinating room supply, keeping prices stable

According to booking data and tourism industry surveys, over the 5-day September 2nd holiday period (from August 29th to September 2nd), the number of overnight tourists is expected to reach approximately 125,000 visits - an increase of about 36%. Of these, international visitors are projected to reach around 28,000 visits, up roughly 21% year-on-year.

The average room occupancy rate at accommodation facilities is expected to reach about 95%. Notably, on peak days August 29th, 30th, and 31st, room occupancy at many establishments may reach 100%.

Decorating guest rooms to serve visitors during the holiday

The surge of visitors coming to Hue to sightsee, relax, and attend events and festivals is contributing to a lively atmosphere in the city. However, this can also lead to localized room shortages at certain times and in certain areas, requiring proactive monitoring and coordination of room supply.

Director of the Department of Tourism, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, said the tourism sector is proactively monitoring market conditions, tracking room occupancy and service capacity to promptly support and redirect guests, limit localized overcrowding, and ensure visitors’ rights.

As for Mr. Phan Trong Minh, Vice Chairman of the City Hotel Association, the Tourism Association and Hotel Association regularly exchange information to update on vacant rooms as well as the needs of partners and visitors. Hotels with available rooms and capacity will be connected and coordinated appropriately. “The important thing is that we have agreed to keep room prices stable, without letting prices spike suddenly, thereby creating peace of mind and satisfaction for visitors,” said Mr. Minh.

During the holiday, the tourism sector’s hotline is staffed 24/7 to receive and promptly handle visitor feedback and complaints, especially issues related to service quality, pricing, accommodation, and other situations that may arise. Inspection efforts have been stepped up to promptly correct any issues that could affect the tourism environment and the destination’s image.

According to the leaders of the City Hotel Association, the September 2nd National Day holiday and other long holidays are opportunities for the tourism industry to attract visitors while promoting Hue’s image as a friendly, safe destination rich in cultural identity. The proactive, thorough preparation and professional service spirit of accommodation establishments will help give visitors a more well-rounded experience, leaving a beautiful impression on their journey to Hue.
