This was the directive from Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, at the launching ceremony for a water safety and drowning prevention program for residents, children, and students in the area. The event took place at Thuan An beach on the morning of May 24.

For four consecutive years, Hue City has ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities nationwide in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). This is a remarkable achievement for Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City), especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition among localities to attract investment. The Suzucho Karate-Do International Clubs Championship 2025 was held from May 23 to 24 at Arena No. 1 on Ha Huy Tap Street, Hue City. This first-ever tournament was co-hosted by the Suzucho Karate-Do School of Vietnam and Hue City's Department of Culture and Sports.

On the afternoon of May 23rd, the “Hue – A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and the People’s Committee of Quang Loi commune (Quang Dien), launched a Ngu My Thanh - Con Toc plastic-reduced tourism site.

May 16, 2025 saw a range of activities in Hue to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of renowned cultural luminary Dang Huy Tru. The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in collaboration with the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City, held a seminar titled "Commemorating the 200th Birth Anniversary of Cultural Luminary and Founder of Vietnamese Photography Dang Huy Tru ."

In recent years the city has continued to promote Hue as a tourist destination through social platforms and inspiring people such as bloggers, vloggers, KOLs, etc., with the hope of making Hue tourism more well known.

On the afternoon of May 21, the leader of Phu Bai International Airport announced that Terminal T2 at Phu Bai International Airport in Hue City was honored with the Gold Award in the category of “Special Architectural Works”. It also received the “For the Development of Architecture” award at the 2024 - 2025 National Architecture Awards ceremony held on the evening of May 20 in Hanoi.

On the morning of May 21, the City Youth Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized the 2025 Hue City Youth Informatics Competition.
