At this point, preparations for the election across the city have entered the final phase. Could you share which key tasks the city is prioritizing during this period?

Under the close direction of the Election Steering Committee and the management of the Hue City Election Committee, preparations for the election have so far proceeded largely in line with the planned schedule and legal requirements. Key tasks have been implemented in a coordinated and systematic manner from the city level down to grassroots units.

In this final stage, the city is focusing on several important priorities:

First, we are strengthening inspection and supervision of election preparations at the grassroots level. The city Election Committee has established working teams led by committee members responsible for specific localities to directly inspect communes and wards. These inspections focus on the dissemination and implementation of directives from the central government and the city, as well as reviewing progress in carrying out each step in accordance with the procedures stipulated by the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People’s Council Deputies.

Another crucial task is the review, compilation, and public posting of voter lists. This step is decisive in ensuring citizens’ voting rights. Localities are continuing to carefully review and update information to ensure that voter lists are accurate and complete, avoiding both omissions and duplication. At the same time, lists of candidates and their action programs are being publicly posted in accordance with regulations so that voters can easily access and review them.

The city is also stepping up election-related communication activities in order to create a positive atmosphere and raise voters’ awareness and sense of responsibility toward this important political event. Visual communication across the city – from banners and slogans to posters and billboards – has been widely implemented. Meanwhile, the city’s media outlets are increasing coverage of the significance of the election, candidates’ brief biographies, and their action programs, providing voters with additional information for making choices.

Another important task is a comprehensive review of logistical preparations for Election Day. Local authorities are urgently preparing facilities, arranging polling stations, ballot boxes, ballots, and other necessary conditions to ensure that voters can exercise their rights conveniently and safely. Personnel for polling teams are also being carefully selected and trained to ensure that all members are well prepared in terms of professional procedures.

In addition, the city is paying special attention to maintaining security and public order before, during, and after Election Day, thereby creating a stable environment to ensure the election is conducted safely, lawfully, and successfully.

A fundamental requirement of elections is that they must be democratic, lawful, and substantive. Could you share the key measures the city is implementing to ensure voters’ rights and transparency throughout the election process?

Democracy, transparency, and strict compliance with the law are the guiding principles throughout the organization of the election. For Hue City, these are not only legal requirements but also political responsibilities to ensure that the election truly reflects the will and aspirations of the people.

To guarantee transparency, the city places special emphasis on fully publicizing information about candidates. Candidates’ brief biographies, professional backgrounds, and action programs are publicly posted at polling stations and widely disseminated through mass media. This allows voters to gather comprehensive and objective information before making their choices.

In addition, voter meetings for election campaigning are organized in accordance with regulations, providing a forum for candidates to present their action programs directly to voters. At these meetings, voters can exchange views, ask questions, and express their expectations and concerns regarding the candidates. As such, the election process becomes not merely an act of casting ballots but also an opportunity to strengthen dialogue between voters and candidates.

In practice, recent voter meetings have seen very active participation from residents across the city. Citizens have candidly expressed their opinions and raised many practical issues related to socio-economic development, improvements in public welfare, and the building of an effective and efficient administration. This demonstrates that the democratic spirit of the election is being clearly realized.

Another important factor in ensuring transparency and legality is strict compliance with legal regulations throughout the entire electoral process. The city has organized numerous training sessions for election officials from the city level to grassroots units, enabling them to master procedures, professional tasks, and relevant regulations. As a result, election preparations and organization are carried out in a consistent and standardized manner, minimizing possible errors.

We believe that when procedures are implemented strictly in accordance with the law, information is made transparent, and voters are fully enabled to participate, the election will truly embody democratic values and reflect the people’s right to mastery.

On the eve of Election Day, what message would you like to convey to grassroots election officials and to the city’s voters so that the election truly becomes a festival of the people?

The election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels is an especially important political event, carrying profound significance for the country’s socio-political life as well as for the development of each locality.

For officials involved in election work, especially those at the grassroots level, I hope that each individual will continue to uphold the highest sense of responsibility, strictly follow legal procedures and regulations, and ensure that every stage of election organization is carried out carefully and thoroughly. The dedication and responsibility of grassroots officials will play a crucial role in ensuring that Election Day proceeds smoothly, safely, and successfully.

For the voters of Hue City, I hope that each citizen will exercise both their rights and responsibilities by actively participating in the election and choosing representatives who truly demonstrate integrity, competence, and credibility to represent the will and aspirations of the people in the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.

The representatives elected by voters will not only perform legislative and supervisory functions or decide on important local issues; they will also serve as a bridge between the people and the government, contributing to the city’s development in the coming period.

We firmly believe that with the careful preparation of the entire political system and the active participation of voters, the election in Hue City will truly become a festival of the people, reflecting democratic spirit, solidarity, and a shared commitment to the city’s development.

Thank you very much!
