To spread the value of Hue Bookcase and reading culture within schools, Hue City Institute for Development Studies has organized activities to introduce Hue Bookcase in schools. Hue Today newspaper recently had a conversation with Mr. Cung Trong Cuong, Director of Hue City Institute for Development Studies, about these initiatives.

On the morning of April 29, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that, through statistics on room bookings at accommodation establishments and a synthesis of related data, Hue tourism is projected to welcome approximately over 300,000 visitors during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

On the afternoon of April 26th, at Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion) inside Hue Imperial City, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized the “Exploring and Promoting the value of the Documentary Heritage: The relief castings on the Nine Dynastic Urns at Hue Imperial Citadel” event in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

On the afternoon of April 25th, the City Institute for Development Research, in collaboration with the Institute for Digital Transformation and Learning Resources of Hue University, held a conference aiming at promoting Hue’s cultural development and expanding the Hue Bookcase project across university and college libraries in the city.

As part of the Book and Reading Culture Day program in 2025, on April 24, Hue City Library summarized a book cover design contest about Hue with the theme “Hue City, my hometown”.

More than 200 books on Hue and the Hue Bookcase project, along with 50 entries from a book cover design contest themed “Hue City – My Hometown” by secondary school students, were on display at Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

On the afternoon of April 21, the University of Sciences, Hue University held various activities to respond to the 4th “Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day” in 2025.

In the framework of the book fair opening on the morning of April 19 at the Thuan Hoa Publishing House space (33 Chu Van An Street, Thuan Hoa District), Thuan Hoa Publishing House collaborated with Truong Phuong book to introduce hundreds of valuable books across various fields to the public and readers.

On April 15th, Zhi Shan Foundation, in coordination with the Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund, and Thuan Hoa District Department of Education and Training, held the inauguration ceremony of a friendly library at Thuy Van Primary School and presented classroom book cabinets to three schools: Duong No Primary School, Phu Thanh Secondary School, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School.

On April 10th, the General Library of Hue City announced its coordination with various organizations to host numerous events and activities throughout April in celebration of the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025.
