On the afternoon of September 19, Hue City People’s Committee held a meeting to review the organization of Hue Heritage and International Music Festival - Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026. From August 26 to September 15, the city’s health sector is rolling out the first high-dose Vitamin A supplementation campaign of 2026 for children aged 6 to under 60 months in ethnic minority and mountainous communes. The campaign aims to provide children with essential micronutrients and help reduce malnutrition rates in these areas.

On the afternoon of September 5, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors, held a meeting with delegations from Kyoto Prefecture and Nara Prefecture (Japan) on the occasion of the Vietnam - Japan Local Cooperation Forum 2026 held in Hue.

On the afternoon of September 3rd, Hue City People's Committee worked with a delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to review preparations for the implementation of the Water Environment Improvement Project – Phase 2 (Priority Area).

Deeply aware of the enduring losses left by war, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh from Vinh Loc Commune has devoted much of his time and energy to supporting victims of Agent Orange. Through his quiet acts of compassion, he has come to be regarded by those living with the lingering consequences of war as a real-life “Mr. But” - a benevolent figure in Vietnamese folklore.

On the afternoon of August 19th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh led a delegation on a field trip to inspect investment and production activities at Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone and Phu Bai Industrial Park. On the afternoon of August 19, the City Military Command, the Standing Agency of the City’s Steering Committee 515, completed the final handover of martyrs’ remains samples to Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. The milestone marks an important step forward in the effort to restore names to heroic martyrs.

On the afternoon of August 18, the Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization of Hue City Party Committee organized a digital literacy training course for officials and civil servants working at Party Committee advisory and support agencies in 2026.

After its preliminary round, the 2026 Children’s painting contest based on books, themed ‘Drawing the Future with Books’, attracted over 350 paintings submitted by students aged 6 to 15 from across Hue City. Organized by Hue City Library, the contest selected 50 works from the entries for the final round, which was held on August 14.
