Among the martial arts of the National Sports Festival, wrestling is one of the martial arts with many competing events. The organizing committee included 22 sets of freestyle wrestling medals (12 men's weight classes, 10 women's weight classes), 11 sets of medals for classical wrestling, and 12 sets of medals for traditional wrestling.

The first gold of the Thua Thien Hue sports delegation went to the Karatedo team. This is also the team that successfully competed when it soon finalized the set target at the 9th National Sports Festival 2022.

As the sole group 3 key sport getting the investment priority from the province in 2021-2025, Vovinam (Viet Martial Art) demonstrates its potential and admirable position.
