On the morning of January 24, the City’s Red Cross Society, in coordination with the local authorities of Chan May - Lang Co Commune and the main sponsor, Heineken Brewery Vietnam Co., Ltd., held the opening ceremony of the “Humanitarian Tet Market - Spring of Binh Ngo 2026” and presented 300 Tet gift packages to disadvantaged residents in the commune.

On the morning of January 23, Hue City Red Cross Society, in coordination with Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Phu Loc and Vinh Loc Communes, organized a program to distribute Lunar New Year gifts for the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026 (the Year of Horse) to poor and near-poor households, families in difficult circumstances, and those severely affected by natural disasters in 2025 in Phu Loc and Vinh Loc Communes. The program was funded by support from Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup.

On the afternoon of December 21, Hue City Department of Health organized the 2025 Child Drowning Prevention Knowledge and Skills Contest. This is a practical activity aimed at raising awareness and equipping students with water safety skills, while spreading the responsibility of families, schools, and the whole society in protecting children from the risk of drowning.

On the morning of December 20, at Hue Central Hospital, Vietnam Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (VASLD), and Vietnamese Society of Hepato Biliary Pancreatic Surgery (VSHBPS), in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, held the opening ceremony of the 18th National Conference of VASLD & VSHBPS with the theme “Promotion of developing for technical progress”, and simultaneously launched the Minimally Invasive Treatment for HBP Chapter of VASLD.

This was the theme of a seminar held on the morning of November 29 by the City Association for People with Disabilities - Support for People with Disabilities and Orphans, in response to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3).

October 11 is recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of the Girl Child, a day to honor the value and affirm the role of girls in families and society, while calling on communities to act for the safety, equality, and holistic development of girls worldwide. In Hue City, the health sector has organized many practical activities to help raise awareness and enhance the status of girls in modern life.

In the period of 2026 - 2030, alongside the process of exploitation, the effectiveness of the collected Han - Nom (Sino-Vietnamese Demotic character) documents will be promoted. Furthermore, these also aim to serve the research needs of readers, scholars, and experts in the fields of history, culture, society, economy, and politics.

On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

On the morning of September 14, at the Youth Center (57 Lam Hoang Street, Hue City), the city's Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, organized a contest on “First aid skills, and communication on voluntary blood donation, tissue donation, organ donation and climate change”. This event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of World First Aid Day (September 13, 2000 - September 13, 2025).

Reflecting on the past 50 years, Thua Thien Hue Province, now Hue City, has undergone many remarkable and commendable changes in all aspects of life, economy, and society.
