In the joyful atmosphere, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 35th Traditional Boat Racing Competition of Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of September 2, with the participation of 9 units from wards and communes of 9 districts, towns and Hue City.

On August 4, a traditional boat racing competition was held in Phong Hoa commune as part of a festival themed “Old Scent of the Ancient Village” in Phong Dien district in 2024.

For the first time, the “Victory Challenge Sailun Cup 2024 & Car Camping Festival” off-road car racing event will take place at Thuy Tien Lake Park, Hue City. The event is organized by Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports, Southeast Asian Magazine, and Ky Nguyen (Epoch) Group Corporation, and will officially commence from June 20th to 23th.

On the morning of March 23, at Trinh Cong Son Park, Hue City People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Hue City Traditional Boat Racing Competition, aiming to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 78th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Sports sector, and the 49th anniversary of Thua Thien Hue's liberation day. This is also one of the activities responding to Hue Festival 2024.

The 11th Huong Thuy traditional spring boat racing 2024 took place on the morning of February 18th (the 9th day of the first month in lunar year) at Loi Nong River (Thuy Phương Ward).

The boat racing festival took place on the morning of December 31 on the Như Y River (at the community tourism site of Thanh Toan Tiled-roof Bridge). This is one of the highlights of the New Year 2024 celebrations and in response to the Four Seasons Festival organized by Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town).

The recent serious flood in mid-November caused significant damage to many vegetable-producing areas. Racing against the time, right after the water receded, local famers took advantage of dry days to quickly clean up the mud, join hands to rebuild their fields, trim and replant new vegetables to meet the agricultural schedule.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2/9/1945 - 2/9/2023), on the morning of September 2nd, on the Huong River, in front of the gate of Hai Ba Trung High School (Hue City), the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 34th Provincial Traditional Boat Racing Competition in Thua Thien Hue Province.

The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

These days, pagodas in Hue are busy decorating and preparing for celebrating Vesak 2567, while some households engaged in making lanterns on Chi Lang Street are racing against time for delivery.
