On the afternoon of June 17, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh had a courtesy meeting with the delegation of Gifu Province from Japan led by Deputy Mayor Kawai Takanori.

Within the framework of the 2023 Local Promotion Program in Japan organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, had a visit and working session in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Through the exhibition, the Japan Cultural Exchange Center in Vietnam has introduced an aspect of Japanese culture by studying Yakishime from the earliest samples to contemporary works.

Within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, the Japanese ceramic exhibition “Yakishime - Shape of the Earth” offers visitors a unique perspective on the craft of the land of Fusang. The exhibition is held by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam in collaboration with Hue Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is opened from April 27th to May 14th at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center.

Within the framework of Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, on the morning of April 27, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam cooperated with Hue Museum of Fine Arts and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in Thua Thien Hue Province to open a pottery exhibition "Yakishime - Earth Metamorphosis" at Diem Phung Thi Art Center.

The exhibition will introduce to the public the works by the musician Trinh Cong Son, including the portraits of the poet Bui Giang, the actor Pham Linh Dan, his Japanese friend Michiko and the musician's relatives. These paintings were composed over the years using various materials, such as oil paints, pastels, charcoal...

Towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973 – September 21, 2023), on the morning of March 30, the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Thua Thien Hue collaborated with Thua Thien Hue College of Education organized an exchanging program called “IKEBANA art of flower arrangement”.

On the afternoon of March 27, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh had a meeting and worked with Mr. Mitani Mitsuru, Chairman of Mitani Sangyo Group (Japan) and his delegation.

On the morning of March 22, Secretary of Hue city Party Committee Phan Thien Dinh chaired a meeting with the delegation of Shizuoka city - Japan led by Mr. Mochizuki Toshiaki, Chairman of the Shizuoka city Council.

On the afternoon of March 16, a ceremony to award scholarships to students of Hue University, sponsored by the Japan Business Federation (KEIDANREN) and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) in Vietnam, took place at Hue University.
