Phu Xuan welcomes Kyoto Environmental Activities Association, Japan

HNN.VN - On September 10, Chairman of Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee Nguyen Viet Bang chaired the official and courtesy meeting with Kyoto Environmental Activities Association (KEAA) - Japan, led by Mr. Tatsuro Niikawa, KEAA’s Chairman.

 The official meeting opened up a new cooperation opportunity in the field of environmental protection, heading to the goal of building a green - clean - bright Hue urban

Kyoto Environmental Activities Association is a non-profit organization which is established to enhance the construction of a sustainable community through voluntary activities of local people, giving priority to environmental factors. The association’s goal is to create a Carbon-free, recycling, and naturally harmonious society, based on the cooperation between locals, businesses, authorities, and educational institutions.

In the framework of the meeting, Mr. Tatsuro Niikawa provided an overall introduction about the plans and projects expected to be implemented, while expressing his desire to collaborate with local authorities on activities related to waste management and environmental protection in Phu Xuan Ward.

From the local perspective, the leadership of Phu Xuan People’s Committee shared the situation regarding waste collection and management, the “Green Sunday” initiatives, and waste classification at source, along with the challenges and difficulties encountered during implementation. The ward emphasized that environmental protection is a key task, closely linked to the goal of building a civilized urban area and ensuring sustainable development.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Bang, Chairman of Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee, highly appreciated the significance of the visit and affirmed that the local authorities always prioritize environmental protection. He also expressed the readiness to collaborate and create favorable conditions for the Kyoto Environmental Activities Association to implement activities and projects that align with the local realities in the near future.

The meeting took place in an open and effective atmosphere, opening up new opportunities for collaboration in the field of environmental protection, contributing to the goal of building a green, clean, and bright Hue city with sustainable development.
