The 10th Hue City Sports Festival 2026 officially opened as the traditional torch lit at Ho Chi Minh Museum, then arrived at the sports arena in the City’s Cultural and Sports Square. Beyond celebrating the strength of the sports movement, the event also reflects Hue’s aspirations to develop sports in a way that preserves its identity and reinforces its new standing in a new era.

Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU, dated October 12, 2026, issued by the Standing Board of the Hue City Party Committee on the development of Chan May - Lang Co urban area through 2030, with a vision to 2045, sets out a strategic direction: establishing a southern growth pole, expanding the city’s development space, and strengthening regional connectivity. For Hue, this is a step toward turning its locational advantages, natural resources, and scenic landscapes into development capacity, while fostering complementarity between the heritage city and the coastal urban area.

With its rich history and proud traditions, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted has established its reputation not only through generations of outstanding talent but also through educational values preserved and cultivated over time. Under the scenario for developing tourism in line with the double-digit growth target, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has set a target for Hue to welcome approximately 2.5 million international visitors in 2026, up 31.5% from 2025. This is both a target and a test of the city’s ability to turn its tourism advantages into revenue, investment opportunities, and ripple effects across other economic sectors.
