This December 2023, the Regional Container Lines (RCL) from Thailand opened an international container shipping route to Chan May port. This shows not only the potential and advantages of the port but also a driving force and catalyst contributing to the development of the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general.

130 rare Sino-Vietnamese Demotic documents, including conferring ordinance, recognitions, diplomas, and other documents, which have been digitized and reconstructed, have just been exhibited and showcased to the public by Thua Thien Hue General Library on the morning of December 15 at the library space (29A Le Quy Don street, Hue City).

In the framework of Hue Digital Transformation Week 2023 – “Creating digital data – promoting regional connectivity” held by the Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with the Vietnam Software & IT Services Association (VINASA), the opening ceremony of the exhibition featuring typical digital technology platforms and solutions took place on the morning of December 14 at Song Huong Theater.

Hue Festival 2024 is due to open with the Opening program – the Ban Soc Ceremony (January 1) and end with the Countdown program, with the highlight being Hue Festival Week 2024, which will take place from June 7 - 12.

The Diamond Status is a prestigious award from the World Stroke Organization that Hue Central Hospital has been awarded for the first time in early December. This is also the highest award status of the World Stroke Organization for stroke units and stroke centers, which satisfy strict criteria for shortening time of emergency revascularization, screening for causes, and appropriate stroke prophylaxis.

Recently, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province and the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam) co-hosted a conference titled: “Green Transitioning for Economic Prosperity: Future for East-West Corridor”. Mr. John Rockhold, President of AmCham Vietnam, foreign diplomatic missions, businesses, experts, and investors from Vietnam, the United States, Laos, and Thailand attended the conference.
