On December 10, the Provincial Department of Tourism coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and related units to welcome a group of international cruise passengers on the Diamond Princess high-grade cruise to visit Hue ancient capital.

Tourism is entering the peak season for international visitors. To effectively attract visitors to Hue, the implementation of promotion and advertising work with the right focus is considered a top priority task.

The cultural heritage left by the Nguyen Dynasty in Hue, in particular, and Vietnam in general, is extremely voluminous, including historical, cultural, landscape, artistic, scientific, and economic values... Over the years, preserving and promoting those cultural values have been highly appreciated. However, there are still some inadequacies, difficulties, and limitations.

On the morning of December 8, the People’s Committee of Hue City in collaboration with the Vietnam Photography Association, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Provincial Photography Association held an award ceremony and opening of the news and artistic photo contest called Hue – The Friendly Land.

On the afternoon of December 7. The Provincial Association for Learning Promotion held a ceremony to launch the SEEDS scholarship program of Thai Binh Circle Organization (The US) for the academic year 2023 – 2024.

Once a massive construction in the past, Phung Tien Palace inside Hue Imperial Citadel was completely destroyed after many historical upheavals. Since 2017, the complex of Phung Tien Palace has been gradually restored through a cooperation project between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany to preserve the remaining structures and revive their original shape and function.

This was the theme of the International Research Conference jointly hosted by the Italian Embassy and UNESCO Vietnam, which was organized by Marche Polytechnic University and Hue University of Sciences on December 7th at the Italian Cultural Center in Hanoi. This event marks final activity of a three-year scientific collaboration among these three institutions.

On the occasion of returning to Hue to visit and work, on the afternoon of December 6, at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Dr. Le Ba Khanh Trinh had a meeting and talking session with teachers and students specializing in mathematics at the school, as well as students who love mathematics and good at it from other schools in Hue City.

On the afternoon of December 5th, Hue University announced the decision and awarded the Certificate on appointment of Associate Professorsand Professors titles in 2023.

Mutual support in university administration, training, scientific research, and technology transfer, etc., were the key components of the memorandum of cooperation signed between Hue University and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) on the afternoon of December 4th.
