On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of its establishment, on the afternoon of May 30, Cecile Le Pham Art Museum (53 Ham Nghi Street, Hue City) organized a drawing competition for children, with the theme “The beauty of Hue ancient capital’s heritage through the eyes of childhood”. This activity is in response to International Children's Day on June 1.

From May 21st -29th, a delegation from Hue City, led by Deputy Secretary of Hue City’s Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, Vo Le Nhat, visited Lausanne, Switzerland, to attend the general assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF). The 2024 National Sambo Club Championship, co-organized by the Administration of Sports and Physical Training (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in Nam Dinh Province, closed on May 27. This is the first time the Sambo Club Championship has been organized on a national scale. At the finish of the tournament, the Thua Thien Hue delegation clinched 14 medals, ranking 3rd in the entire delegation in their first-time competition.

Aside from contributing to earning Hue sports fame, the team of athletes who are the national team’s members is also a resource for the long-term and sustainable development of the provincial sports.

With consistent participation and numerous prestigious awards in music competitions, coupled with frequent performances in artistic programs throughout Hue, Phan Huy Thanh, singer, has made a profound impact on audiences. Particularly, the songs about Hue performed by Phan Huy Thanh are vibrant and youthful, such as "Cơm hến" (Mussel Rice), "Trai Huế" (Hue Boys), "Nón" (Conical Hat)... truly bringing a breath of fresh air, contributing to spreading and elevating the imagery of the landscapes and people of Hue to the listeners.

On May 26th, at Hai Ba Trung High School, the provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary blood donation, the Co Do Living Blood Bank, and the provincial Red Cross Association organized the “Pink Hat of Hue” festival, focusing on hair donation and organ donation registration to save people’s lives.

After the information that Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 going to take place from June 7 to June 12 was announced by the organizing committee, the tourism industry and travel agencies have focused on promoting and introducing it to tourists, and supplementing and building tour programs to create more experiences for guests; all are ready to welcome tourists to Hue during this festival.
