That was the theme of the national scientific conference organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City, in coordination with relevant agencies, on the afternoon of September 25th in Hue City. The conference aimed to provide a deeper understanding of Hue’s core values, assess its achievements, analyze challenges, and propose strategic, breakthrough solutions for developing Hue into a green, smart, and sustainable city.

Hue City is gradually donning a new image - modern, dynamic, and strongly connected. In this flow of development, a series of large-scale, strategically planned projects are taking shape, turning the aspiration of Hue’s breakthrough growth into reality.

The construction of Ring Road 3 will begin in September 2025, marking a major milestone in Hue City’s urban transportation infrastructure development strategy. Far more than a conventional road project, this route is seen as a catalyst for expanding urban space, creating strategic land reserves, attracting investment, and improving quality of life for local residents.

This is considered an important legal basis to implement sub-zone planning projects, urban embellishment, and attracting strategic investment, gradually transforming the economic zone into the southern development hub of Hue City.

On June 23, the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) had just held the award ceremony for the 4th National Urban Planning Awards.

Hue City, a distinctive heritage urban area of Vietnam, is gradually transforming its historical and cultural values into economic drivers, creating a sustainable development model that preserves and promotes heritage values.

2024 is a significant year in the process of developing Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed municipality according to Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo. On July 17, within the framework of a working trip to Thua Thien Hue province, the delegation of Khanh Hoa province, led by Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, the Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, visited the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) and worked with the Department of Information and Communication of Thua Thien Hue on digital transformation and smart urban development.
