Thua Thien Hue is a land that has all the necessary elements and advantages for the development of wellness tourism (WT). For this type of tourism to develop and attract customers, the construction and promotion of the WT brand needs to be implemented in a systematic and in-depth way.

To reach sustainable tourism development, running towards green tourism is indispensable. Thua Thien Hue has special strengths of cultural, historical, and landscape, as well as environmental resources to develop tourism; and, carrying out cooperation to develop green tourism is one of the goals.

Journeys in Hue (JiH) is a group of young enthusiasts dedicated to promoting Hue through social media, viewing it “through the lens of Hue people”. Following the success of 8 Hue Traditional Craft Festivals from 2005 to present, and implementing the Four Seasons Festival Project, Hue City People's Committee continues to organize Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 with many rich and meaningful programs and activities, contributing to stimulating tourism demand and socio-economic development.

In order to research, evaluate the current situation and propose solutions to develop tourism products associated with craft villages, on the afternoon of December 27, the Provincial Institute for Research and Development held a workshop on “Solutions to develop tourism associated with craft villages and replicate the model to be applied to Thua Thien Hue”.
