Hue ranks 9th in the Provincial Tourism Development Index (VTDI 2024)

HNN.VN - On the morning of April 25, according to the information announced by the Department of Tourism, from the result of Vietnam’s Provincial Tourism Development Index - VTDI 2024, Hue ranked 9th out of 30 provinces and cities included in the index’s scope of research.

Visitors being happy when experiencing tourism in Hue 

Specifically, Hue ranked 9th with a score of 4.25 in the 2024 VTDI. The pillars that received the highest ratings included: Health and hygiene (ranked 2nd), air transport infrastructure (4th), environmental and energy sustainability in tourism (2nd), business environment (6th), ground and port infrastructure (6th), cultural resources (7th), and safety and security (9th). These pillars clearly highlighted Hue’s outstanding strengths.

The following pillars were rated at a moderate level, including: Socio-economic impact of tourism (ranked 10th), Information and Communication readiness (14th), tourism infrastructure and services (14th), non-leisure resources (21st), price competitiveness (18th), prioritization of tourism (16th), natural resources (15th), and tourism demand sustainability (16th). These pillars indicated good operational effectiveness.

The pillars with low results, revealing significant challenges, included: Human resources and labor market (ranked 24th), and data collection and sharing (ranked 26th).

Respectively, the top 10 provinces and cities in the 2024 Vietnam Provincial Tourism Development Index (VTDI), are: Danang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Hue, and Hai Phong.
