On the morning of June 17th, Hue City People's Committee held a meeting and commendation ceremony for Hue Football Club following its achievement of securing one of the two direct promotion spots to compete in the National First Division for the 2026/2027 season. The event was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee. From June 12 to 19, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital collaborated with Surgical Volunteers International (SVI) of the United States to carry out a humanitarian surgery program for children and adolescents suffering from congenital deformities, as well as burn and trauma-related disabilities.

On the afternoon of June 13, the Hue City People’s Committee Office announced that, as part of an official visit to Hungary, a delegation from Hue City led by Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, carried out a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary and met with the Vietnamese community and overseas Vietnamese businesses to promote cooperation, attract investment, and expand foreign relations. ​

Against the backdrop of the Perfume River, the elegant melodies of Hue Royal Court Music intertwined with the youthful rhythms of J-pop performed by Japanese singer Kawanishi Natsuki, along with a series of impressive artistic performances from South Korea, set the stage for a vibrant and colorful opening ceremony of Hue International Music Week 2026 on the evening of June 13.

As part of an official visit to the Republic of Austria, on June 10 and 11, a delegation from Hue City, led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan, held a series of meetings with the Government of Lower Austria, the City of Krems, IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences, and the Embassy of Vietnam in Austria.

Workshops such as pottery making, picture coloring, and “healing”-themed cafés (spaces designed to promote relaxation and emotional well-being) have become increasingly common in Hue in recent years. This trend reflects young people's growing desire to achieve mental balance amid academic and work-related pressures, as well as a lifestyle closely tied to social media. Beginning as an emotional concept, “healing” has gradually given rise to a distinct service market targeting young customers in Hue.

On the afternoon of June 11, the School of Engineering and Technology, Hue University officially launched the Japanese-Standard Engineering Training Program, marking a strategic cooperation between the institution and Nisso Kosan (under the management of Nisso Corporation) and Meisei Group (Japan) in the field of training, education, and high-quality human resource development.

As part of its international cooperation program, Hue Central Hospital welcomed and worked with a delegation of South Korean partners from June 8th to 10th, 2026, to expand cooperation in healthcare, research and development (R&D), technology transfer, and the development of specialized medical services in Hue City.
