Hue Central Hospital promotes healthcare and research & development cooperation with South Korean partners

Overview of the working session

At the working session, the two sides focused on discussing a number of key areas of cooperation, aiming at meeting the growing demand for high-quality healthcare services in the new development phase. One of the most notable proposals was the exploration of establishing a medical complex in Hue City, either within Hue Central Hospital’s campus or elsewhere in the city, with manufacturing facilities and a research and development center. The parties also discussed the possibility of developing a premium health screening center to diversify healthcare services and meet the increasing needs of both domestic and international patients.

In addition, several specialized fields were brought forward for discussion, including plastic and reconstructive surgery, aesthetic medicine, the application of advanced medical equipment, technology transfer, scientific research, and the training of highly qualified healthcare professionals. These are areas in which South Korean partners possess considerable expertise and experience, creating opportunities for Hue Central Hospital to access advanced medical innovations, strengthen its professional capabilities, and enhance the quality of patient care.

During their visit to Hue, the South Korean delegation toured the hospital’s facilities, equipment, and specialized departments, including the Center for Orthopedics, Trauma, and Plastic Surgery; the International Aesthetic Center; the Health Screening and Occupational Disease Center; and Hue Central International Hospital. These site visits provided the delegation with a comprehensive understanding of the hospital’s development potential and laid the groundwork for the implementation of specific cooperation projects in the future.

Strengthening ties with international partners, particularly those from South Korea, further demonstrates Hue Central Hospital’s strategy of international integration and development. Such cooperation not only supports the advancement of specialized healthcare projects and the improvement of medical services but also serves as an important foundation for positioning Hue as a leading center for advanced medicine and an attractive destination for medical tourism in the region and beyond.
