Over 24,000 People with Meritorious Service in Hue to Receive Gifts in Celebration of July 27

HNN.VN - Marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), Hue plans to present gifts from the State President to over 24,000 people with meritorious service and their families, with total funding reaching nearly VND 7.4 billion.

The gift-giving activity is carried out in accordance with Decision No. 885/QĐ-CTN dated June 11, 2026, of the State President on presenting gifts to people with meritorious service to the revolution on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. Accordingly, gifts are valued at 2 levels, VND 600,000 and VND 300,000, applied to different beneficiary groups as stipulated.

The VND 600,000 gift level is designated for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, as well as individuals exposed to toxic chemicals during the resistance war with 81% or higher disability rate, and other eligible policy beneficiaries. While the VND 300,000 gift level applies to other eligible beneficiaries among people with meritorious service, who are entitled to get support under current regulations.

Nationwide, over 1.56 million people with meritorious service to the revolution are eligible to receive gifts on this occasion, with a total budget of nearly VND 476 billion allocated from the State budget in 2026.

The annual gift-giving program on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day reflects the Party and State’s deep appreciation for individuals who have made contributions and sacrifices for the nation’s struggle for independence, as well as for national construction and defense. It also contributes to improving the welfare of policy beneficiaries and upholding the nation’s tradition of “Drinking water, Remembering the source”.
