On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

On September 27, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital, in collaboration with Nagoya University, Japan, organized an international workshop with the theme: “Nagoya - Hue UMP Endoscopy Workshop 2025: Advancing Gastrointestinal Care Together”.

Not only reaching the strong growth in visitor numbers, but the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has also created a ripple effect in promoting the destination’s image and positioning the Ancient Capital’s tourism brand name among businesses and visitors. The recent export of 18 tons of Hue specialty cakes (including nam cakes (flat rice flour cakes with shrimp topping), loc cakes (tapioca dumplings), and it cakes (glutinous flour round cakes)) to the USA by Hue One Food and Kinh Do Specialty Joint Stock Company, Thuan An, holds significant meaning, acting as a special cultural ambassador of Hue to the world, with the value of cassava plant.

In 2005, I was fortunate to meet Dang Van Viet, a revered elder, in Hue, where he had come from Hanoi to join the 60th anniversary of the Frontline Youth School. There, I learned that he was the one who, together with a comrade, raised the red flag with the yellow star over the Phu Van Lau (Phu Van Pavilion) flagpole on August 21, 1945-when the August Revolution had yet to break out, Japanese forces were still armed, and the Nguyen dynasty still stood in the imperial capital of Hue.

On September 21, the Office of the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that Hue City People’s Committee, in collaboration with Phuong Trang Group (FUTA Group), and Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MoU).

That was the message shared by Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, at the seminar themed “Green Transition and Strategy to Attract Industrial Investment in Hue City”, co-organized on September 19th by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Packaging Recycling Alliance Vietnam (PRO Vietnam), and Hue City People’s Committee. Attending the seminar was Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee.

On the morning of September 18, Hue City Union of Literature and Arts Associations held an inauguration ceremony for Hue Literature and Arts Memorial Space at No.1 Phan Boi Chau St., Hue City.
