For the past 10 years, Professor Dung Nguyen (Stanford University, US) has partnered in humanitarian plastic and aesthetic surgery programs with hospitals in Hue City, Vietnam. She has also made significant contributions to training, teaching, and transferring reconstructive, aesthetic, and microsurgery techniques to doctors across the country.

On the afternoon of May 8, in celebration of the 39th World Thalassemia Day (May 8, 1986 - May 8, 2025), the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Blue Blouse Club, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and benefactors organized an exchange program and presented gifts to Thalassemia patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

On the morning of April 18, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Department of Orthopedic and Thoracic Surgery.

Hue Students Football Tournament 2025, competing for the Ba Na Hills Cup, kicked off in the afternoon of April 15 at the football field of Phu Xuan District’s Culture, Information & Sports Center (150 Nguyen Trai Street). The tournament is jointly organized by Hue University and Professional Sports Association and School of Hospitality and Tourism - Hue University.

From March 15 to 18, Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with Emory University (the US), organized the Comprehensive Acute Trauma Care (CATC) course to enhance emergency response capabilities for medical staff.

On February 22, Hue Dental Hospital (under the Department of Health) collaborated with Resurge International, Stanford University (USA), and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery to conduct screenings for patients from Hanoi, Long An, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and other locations. This program is part of the breast reconstruction surgery week for post-cancer patients.

On the morning of January 12, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union – the Secretariat of the City Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, Hue University, Red Cross Society, and the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city, organized the 17th “Red Sunday” voluntary blood donation festival in 2025.

On November 11th, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy welcomed the Alliance for Smiles Organization and the Rotary Club of Saigon to launch a surgery program for children with cleft lips and palates.

On September 30th, Hue Central Hospital organized a Pediatric Endocrinology training course for 30 doctors of the unit and medical facilities. Also attending the training course were professors and doctors from Toulouse University and Lille University (France).

On June 21, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced that the American Heart Association (AHA) has just awarded the SILVER PLUS Heart Failure Achievement Award to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.
