For hundreds of patients being treated at Hue Central Hospital, the afternoon of June 10 was a more bustling summer afternoon than usual as they enjoyed a unique cultural feature of the land of cherry blossoms from the Eisa Urakaji Drum Dance Art Troupe, which was participating in Hue Festival 2024.

On the afternoon of June 6, with the authorization of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, directors of Hue Central Hospital (HCH) presented Commendation Certificates to 2 doctors: Kenneth D. Montgomery, President and Founder of Orthonations (USA), and Matthew Teo S Mendez-Zfass, Co-founder of Orthonations.

On the afternoon of May 19, the program "Glory of Vietnam 2024" with the theme "20 years of provoking Vietnam's strength" took place in Hanoi. The program was directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Central Reward and Emulation Board, and the Central Propaganda Department organized directly by Lao Dong newspaper.

On the afternoon of May 8th, the Council for selection of collective and individual honorees of Vietnam Glory 2024 program announced the list of honored collectives and individuals in Hanoi.

On May 4, the Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Hue Central Hospital; and the Military Hospital 268, Military Region 4, to organize the 2024 Military-Civilian-Medical program, providing health examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution to people in the border area of Vinh Hien commune (Phu Loc).

On April 27, Thua Thien Hue Cardiovascular Association, in collaboration with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, Hue Central Hospital, and related units, organized the 3rd Expanded Ancient Capital Cardiovascular Conference.

From Vietnam - Sweden Hospital in Uong Bi, Quang Ninh, 3 donated organs were transported to Hue and transplanted into 3 patients on April 2nd. This marks another record for Hue Central Hospital in cross-Vietnam organ transplantation. Thua Thien Hue Online has documented the speedy journey and efforts to save the lives of patients.

On the morning of April 6th, Hue Central Hospital solemnly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for Hue Central International Hospital 2.

The first kidney transplant in 2001 put Hue Central Hospital on the organ transplant map of Vietnam. To date, the unit has operated on 1,500 cases, which meant it has sparked hope for rebirth for 1,500 people who are on the brink of death.

On the morning of October 30th, Hue Central Hospital informed about the valuable above-mentioned award at “The Southeast Asian Laparoscopic Challenge 2023 through Colorectal Surgery Recorded Video” organized by the ASEAN Society of Colorectal Surgeons in Bangkok, Thailand, in late October.
