On July 18th and 19th, the 2nd Vietnam Hernia Conference took place at the Training and Direction Center of Hue Central Hospital, co-organized by the hospital and the Vietnam Hernia Society. This is an important scientific event, aiming to update and share clinical knowledge and experience in treating hernia-related conditions.

On the afternoon of June 24, Hue Central Hospital announced the successful performance of a hip and femur replacement surgery using a Megaprosthesis. This advanced technique preserves the limb for patients in the field of orthopedic trauma surgery.

On June 20 and 21, at the the Training Center of Hue Central Hospital, the Neurosurgery Conference for Training Doctos and the Vietnam Neurosurgical Nursing Conference took place. The events were organized by the Vietnam Neurosurgical Society in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital.

That was the theme of the national-level scientific conference organized on June 21 by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hue City (Union of Associations) in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Department of Science and Technology, Hue Central Hospital, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Association, and the Infectious Diseases Association of the city. The event gathered leading experts in health, environment, and agriculture - forestry from Vietnam and abroad.

Over two days (June 20 - 21), Hue City’s Cardiology Association, in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the City, Hue Central Hospital, and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Hospital, organized the 4th Ancient Capital Congress of Cardiology.

On May 19, in Phu Loc district, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Hue City, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital and the People's Committee of Phu Loc district, organized the opening ceremony of the 8th “Red Journey - Red Drops of Hue” program in 2025. This event is part of a series of activities in response to the nationwide blood donation campaign – the Red Journey, towards the celebration of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

On the afternoon of May 8, in celebration of the 39th World Thalassemia Day (May 8, 1986 - May 8, 2025), the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Blue Blouse Club, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and benefactors organized an exchange program and presented gifts to Thalassemia patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

On the afternoon of April 29, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) successfully performed a transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for the first time on a 76-year-old female patient from Da Nang. This marks the hospital’s first implementation of this technique.

In response to the 2025 World Glaucoma Week, Hue Central Hospital - Ophthalmology Center is organizing a free eye check-up program for individuals over 60 years old or those who are at risk of developing glaucoma.

On February 28, Hue Central Hospital informed that the hospital is receiving patients from across the country who are requiring to register for free plastic surgery through multiple channels. This activity is a part of the cooperation between the Interplast Delegation (Federal Republic of Germany) and the hospital.
