On the morning of August 30, at the Duong No Ward Party Committee Hall (Hue City), the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Duong No Ward, in coordination with the ‘Tu Chap canh tuong lai’ Club, Co.opmart Hue One-Member Limited Liability Company, and other accompanying units and individuals, organized the ‘Supporting children to school’ program in 2026 under the theme ‘Wings for dreams - Steady steps to the future’.

Among about 3,000 dishes documented nationwide, over 1,700 are believed to be prepared in Hue styles, bearing the distinctive hallmarks of the former imperial capital’s cuisine. This rich culinary heritage is one of the key reasons that Hue has chosen gastronomy as the focus of its application to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN).

In the course of researching the cultural heritage of the Nguyen Dynasty in the former Hue imperial capital, researchers often come across precious materials that have been preserved among local families, quietly surviving in the spaces of communal houses, pagodas, ancestral worship halls, or aristocratic residences. Layer upon layer of historical sediment is gradually being brought to light.

On the evening of March 14th, at the hall of Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School, the Institut Français de Hué, in coordination with Hue Vietnam - France Friendship Association and local educational institutions, organized Francophonie Night 2026. After nearly two years of restoration and rehabilitation of the remaining structures of Emperor Tu Duc’s Mausoleum, Minh Khiem Hall (an ancient theater) – regarded as a “precious gem” of royal court performing arts – is gradually revealing its original appearance.

On the evening of December 29, the final round of the 2025 Student Singing Contest (HUEdu Singer) took place at Hall 1 of Hue University of Education, Hue University.

On the afternoon of December 15th, at the conference hall of Hue City People’s Committee, Vietnam Airlines (Vietnam National Airlines Corporation) presented financial and in-kind support of 1 billion VND and 2,000 warm blankets in total to Hue City to help address damage caused by recent storms and flooding.

The Shuttlecock Kicking Tournament of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival (2025–2026) opened on the morning of October 15 at Canh Buom Sport Hall (100 Pham Van Dong Street), bringing together 51 athletes from Hue University, Binh Dien Commune, Phu Xuan Ward, and Phu Bai Ward to compete.
