On the morning of December 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference to review one month of implementation of the “Quang Trung Campaign”, a rapid initiative to rebuild and repair houses for households whose homes collapsed, were destroyed, swept away by floods, or severely damaged by recent storms and flooding. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, along with leaders of ministries, sectors, and localities.

Successive floods have inflicted severe damage on irrigation infrastructure while directly disrupting the livelihoods of thousands of households. What are the most effective ways to respond? On the afternoon of December 14th, at the People’s Committee of A Luoi 5 Commune, the City Border Guard Command, in coordination with its partner units, organized a gift-giving program to support people facing difficult circumstances and those affected by floods.

On December 6th, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) provided financial support to help residents of Hue City recover from the damage caused by the recent floods. Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, received and worked with the delegation.

On December 2 and 3, a working delegation from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, visited and presented financial support to South Central provinces to overcome damage after typhoons and floods.
