This December 2023, the Regional Container Lines (RCL) from Thailand opened an international container shipping route to Chan May port. This shows not only the potential and advantages of the port but also a driving force and catalyst contributing to the development of the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general.

The thing is, however, how to attract this type of tourist, the solution of which lies in investing in creating attractive products right from the “gateway” of Chan May Port, all the way to Hue City.

Invested seaports and airport, along with connecting routes, will create motivation for the formation and development of the urban chain from Hue to Huong Thuy and to Chan May - Lang Co.

With two Chan May and Thuan An quay areas partially invested and in operation, and Phong Dien Seaport calling for investment, the seaport system in Thua Thien Hue aims to reach out and make regional connections.
