Summer activities and the Month of action for children in 2024 launched
HNN.VN - On the evening of May 31, Hue City's Youth Union coordinated with Hue Children's House to organize the opening ceremony of summer activities and the launching ceremony of the Month of action for children, as well as awarding prizes for a writing contest themed “Pens of the young ages”, and an English video clip contest themed “I am a tour guide” in 2024.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Truong Dinh Hanh emphasized that the Month of action for children is a meaningful annual activity for all children and those who work with children. It is an opportunity to continue to write messages of love to all children in the city, join hands in showing the responsibility, care and practical actions for children, especially those in especially difficult circumstances, as well as bringing them love, protection and care.

This year, the city's Month of action for children will focus on a variety of activities, including: organizing a communication campaign to raise the awareness and skills for children, families, and the community to ensure a safe and healthy summer vacation for children; proactively implementing solutions and activities to prevent and combat child abuse and violence, prevent child accidents and injuries, and drowning, etc.
Besides, the Month of action for children also focuses on promoting the activity of teaching swimming for students, opening school gates, libraries, and sports facilities for children to play and study; organizing useful and practical recreational and entertainment activities; and caring for children in difficult circumstances, etc., so as to attract and promote children's right to participate, contributing to limiting children from getting involved in violent games and social evils.
On this occasion, Hue Children's House awarded the prizes for a writing contest themed “Pens of the young ages”, and an English video clip contest themed “I am a tour guide” in 2024.
