This is a new activity within the “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival, which is due to organized from June 8 - 10 by the People's Committee of Quang Dien District.
Accordingly, during the 3 days of the festival, locals and visitors will be able to watch paragliding performances by pilots, who are participating in training and activities at domestic paragliding clubs. At the event, visitors will also have the opportunity to directly experience paragliding with the pilots. This activity is being organized for the first time on Tam Giang Lagoon in the hope that it will contribute to stimulating tourism and attract visitors to the “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival.
The “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival is an activity responding to Hue Festival 2024. The festival includes a series of unique cultural and tourism events, aimed at honoring the cultural and historical values of the district; as well as introducing and promoting the unique values of the land and people of Quang Dien to friends from home and abroad.

This is also an opportunity to cooperate and promote the development of services and tourism, to become a key economic sector of Quang Dien District. Thereby, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life, raising the level of cultural enjoyment for local people in particular and domestic and foreign visitors in general.
In addition to the paragliding performances, the “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival 2024 will also feature a variety of other activities, including: a fair combining a "Bringing Vietnamese Goods to the Countryside" market; a food fair; Hoang Mai Hue Fair; Quang Dien countryside market; photo exhibition themed “The beauty of Quang Dien”; a petanque competition, a beach soccer tournament, a beach volleyball tournament; a traditional wrestling competition; a traditional boat racing competition; the Bai Choi Festival; and the launch of beach tourism season.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of folk games such as pushing sticks, hitting clay pots blindfolded, crossing the monkey bridge, jumping sack, or SUP surfing (paddle board) and catching clam on Tam Giang Lagoon, etc. In particular, the art program on the opening night of the “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival, which is due to take place on June 8, will help locals and visitors better understand about the land and people of Quang Dien.
The Organizing Committee expects that an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 visitors will visit Quang Dien during the “Song nuoc Tam Giang” Festival in 2024.
