On the evening of July 8th, at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Hue City People's Committee, held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Three-Region Folk Instrumental Music and Folk Singing Festival. During the ceremony, the organizing committee presented numerous awards to outstanding artistic ensembles, individuals, performances, and programs.

Within the framework of the community Ao Dai Week - “Hue in Autumn” Festival 2026, on the morning of July 4, the Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center, organized a ceremony to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of Martial Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat, and holding a procession of gratitude to Martial Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat, and Emperor Minh Mang.

On the evening of July 4, at the City Cinema and Culture Center, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Hue City People’s Committee, held the opening ceremony of the 2026 “Playing folk musical instruments and singing folk songs from the three regions” Festival.

Cultural industries, based on knowledge, creativity, identity, and technology, are emerging as one of the key growth drivers for many nations. In this context, placing culture at the center of development strategy - as expressed in the spirit of Resolution 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture - is not merely a political orientation but an inevitable imperative of the era. ​

In the context of a heritage city that is gradually affirming its position as a distinctive cultural center of the country, the development of reading culture in Hue is no longer a purely promotional issue. Instead, it has become a strategic matter, closely associated with human quality, endogenous strength, and the city’s vision for sustainable development.

On the morning of April 11, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex, Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in coordination with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, Hai Ba Trung High School, and Nguyen Hue High School, organized a heritage education program titled “Reforms of Emperor Minh Mang”, in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

During the participation in the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026, runners will benefit from a free admission to tourist attractions managed by Hue Monuments of Conservation Center. It will offer both domestic and international runners the opportunity to further explore the history, architecture, and culture of Hue Ancient Capital.

On the morning of April 5th, Hue City Youth and Children Center, in coordination with Vy Da Ward Youth Union, the Youth Union of the School of Tourism under Hue University, and Honda Loc Thinh Co., Ltd., organized the 2026 event “Youth with Traffic Culture”.

On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.

A ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th, 1946 – March 27th, 2026), organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, was held on the afternoon of March 27 at the City Culture and Cinema Center. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, attended and extended congratulations and encouragement.
