Three-region folk music festival concludes with lasting impressions
HNN.VN - On the evening of July 8th, at Hue City Center for Culture and Cinema, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Hue City People's Committee, held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Three-Region Folk Instrumental Music and Folk Singing Festival. During the ceremony, the organizing committee presented numerous awards to outstanding artistic ensembles, individuals, performances, and programs.

The festival brought together 26 amateur performing arts troupes from provinces and cities across Vietnam, showcasing a diverse range of performances that reflected the distinctive cultural identities of different regions. Through traditional folk songs, folk dances, and folk music, the participating troupes highlighted the unique cultural life of their localities while providing opportunities for artists, performers, and cultural practitioners to exchange experiences and learn from one another.
At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee presented two Certificates of Merit from the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family, and Libraries to organizations with outstanding achievements, along with 29 Certificates of Merit for individuals who made significant contributions to organizing and participating in the festival.
In the competition categories, 31 Gold Medals and 56 Silver Medals were awarded to outstanding performances. For the overall program category, nine Gold Medals and 17 Silver Medals were presented to the participating amateur performing arts troupes.
Following several days of performances, the 2026 Three-Region Folk Instrumental Music and Folk Singing Festival once again affirmed the important role of community-based performing arts in preserving and promoting Vietnam's traditional cultural values. The festival also served as a valuable platform for localities across the country to exchange experiences, strengthen cultural ties, and contribute to preserving and celebrating the diverse cultural identities of Vietnam's regions in contemporary society.
