On the afternoon of December 15, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Vietnam and Hue Help, held a conference to share a summary and evaluation of the results of the Child Drowning Prevention Project during the 2024-2025 period, while also calling for investment sponsorship for the next phase.

On the morning of December 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference to hear reports on the progress of Quang Trung Campaign - an accelerated drive to rebuild and repair homes for families whose houses were collapsed, swept away, or severely damaged during the recent storms and floods.

Following Directive No. 234 dated November 30th, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister on launching and implementing “Quang Trung Campaign” to urgently rebuild and repair homes for the families whose houses were damaged during recent natural disasters in the central provinces, on the morning of December 6th, at Khe Tre Commune, Hue City People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin the construction of new homes for residents whose houses had collapsed or been severely damaged.

On the morning of November 24, Vietnam Women’s Union, in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control Fund and Hue City Women’s Union, organized a launching ceremony for the 2025 campaign promoting the role of families in preventing and controlling the harmful effects of tobacco, along with a training session on building “Healthy, Smoke-Free Families".

On the morning of November 9, communes and wards across Hue City simultaneously launched environmental cleanup campaigns in connection with the “Green Sunday” movement, aiming to restore urban landscapes and prevent disease outbreaks following prolonged flooding. City leaders visited several locations to inspect, encourage, and present gifts to participating teams.

Immediately following the call of the City People's Committee, on the morning of November 9, a large number of residents, cadres, civil servants, public employees, various associations, unions, armed forces, Youth Union members, and Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company, etc., simultaneously launched an environmental cleanup campaign across all communes and wards in the city.

Hue City has recently become the starting point for a campaign to strengthen the implementation of a smoke-free environment in restaurants, hotels, and public attractions. This is expected to be an important step to elevate the image of a green, clean, and civilized city in the eyes of both locals and tourists.

On August 16, in Hue City, the Fund for Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control (Ministry of Health) organized a launching ceremony of the campaign to strengthen the implementation of smoke-free environments in restaurants, hotels, and public places.

On August 14, Hue City Police announced that the program in response to the campaign “Moving forward with Vietnam” will be held in Hue City on August 16.

Every summer, blood shortages occur at many medical facilities across the country, including Hue Central Hospital - one of the top-tier hospitals that continuously receives a large number of emergency and treatment cases. To ensure an adequate blood supply for saving lives, the hospital has proactively launched an internal blood donation campaign and called on the community to join hands for the sake of patients’ lives.
