The sketches created by Artist Nguyen Van Nguyen successfully depict the heroic historical years of the resistance war fought by the people and soldiers of Binh Tri Thien against the US. These sketches accurately portrayed the lives of compatriots and soldiers during this time. Many of these works were composed during the war and were introduced to the public for the first time in an exhibition titled “Memory Land”.

Once again, Thua Thien Hue Karatedo took the throne with a spectacular return to the top at the 10th Central Region - Central Highlands Karatedo Championship in 2024. Also in late April, 2 athletes Le Van Tinh and Le Minh Thuan are part of the national team to compete at the Southeast Asian Championship in Thailand.

Participating in the International Art Festival Week Hue 2024, the Zhejiang Wu Opera Research Center of China will stage and perform some outstanding excerpts showcasing the charm and quintessence of Zhejiang Opera and traditional Chinese opera.

After the complete liberation of the South, the country was unified, Thua Thien Hue remained a locality bearing many scars of war; the lives of the people were extremely difficult; many buildings, architectures were desolate and in ruins. But it is also from here that the Ancient Capital is not alone on its journey of revival from desolation and gradually developing in a sustainable manner, with the goal of striving to become a centrally-governed city with its own unique strengths.

Based on statistics on the number of guests booking rooms at accommodation facilities and tourist attractions, it is expected that Thua Thien Hue will welcome a large source of visitors from other provinces and cities during the upcoming long holiday of April 30 and May 1, with an estimated 65,000 arrivals.

What was initially planned as a 3-month journey by Dr. Hattori Tadashi in 2002 eventually extended to over 20 years, taking away much from him but bringing light to over 60,000 people in Vietnam. He didn't take any salary, even using his own pocket money to cover expenses for financially-struggling patients and to support some Vietnamese hospitals with ophthalmic medical equipment.

A large crowd attending Hue Nam Temple Festival (or Hon Chen Temple) took part in a solemn land procession from Thien Tien Holy Shrine (352 Chi Lang, Hue City) to Nghinh Luong Dinh (Nghinh Luong Pavilion) before embarking on boats to move to the temple.

On the afternoon of April 6, Phu Son Waste Power Plant held an inauguration ceremony and put it into operation. Attending the ceremony was Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

On the morning of April 6th, Hue Central Hospital solemnly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for Hue Central International Hospital 2.

In creating a new facade for urban areas, beyond beautification, investment in infrastructure, commerce, services, and improving the quality of urban life... transport infrastructure is also a key element in connecting and contributing to making Thua Thien Hue soon become a centrally-governed city.
