The “Romantic features in the ancient village”painting contest, organized by the project supportingViet Nam’s social impact business ecosystemin response to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID) in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment, is currently running from June 30th to July 13th, 2024, at Phuoc Tich ancient village, Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district.

Throughout the S-shaped strip of the land of Vietnam, Ao dai can be found in every region. Specifically, in Hue, Ao dai has become a part of the cultural identity and unique beauty of the people here. An important milestone in Hue Ao dai costume was in 1744, after Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat ascended the throne in Phu Xuan, he promulgated many policies and mentioned the modification of costumes. Thereafter, during the Nguyen Dynasty, the court issued an order, creating an opportunity for Hue women in particular and Vietnamese women in general to wear Ao dai regularly. Accordingly, the tradition of wearing Ao dai gradually entered the daily life of people.

The working trip to the Spratly Archipelago lasted 18 days, but for me, the emotions in my heart are forever filled with years, when I "touched" the sacred waves. Tearful, I looked up at the proudly flying National Flag, imprinting the national image on waves, carrying the image of a resilient soldier in the open sea, and bursting into a heroic song: "The Fatherland’s echoes from the sea..."

On the afternoon of June 26, High School for Gifted Students of the University of Sciences, Hue University held an awarding ceremony for the contest “Designing 12 zodiac animal stamps on the Ao dai in 2024”. The contest aims to respond to the Ao dai Week 2024 activity, and, at the same time, create opportunities for members of the school's stamp club to learn about the traditional 12 zodiac animal stamps.

The Community Ao dai Week 2024, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, officially opened on the afternoon of June 24th at 15 Le Loi Building, Hue City. This week-long series of activities and events aims to promote and spread the image of ao dai to the community.

As part of the summer festival program “Shining Citadel,” Hue Festival Organizing Committee hosts the “Three regions ornamental plants and orchids exhibition 2024” at Co Ha Garden, Royal Palace - Hue Imperial Citadel. The exhibition opened on the morning of June 21.

On June 22nd, an impressive assembly of over 150 artifacts, curated from the esteemed collections of 29 antique collectors spanning the North, Central, and South regions of Vietnam, will be showcased at the “Antiques Gathering” exhibition held in the historic Kien Trung Palace, Hue Imperial Citadel.

Over 150 highland residents from Nam Dong and A Luoi received free cataract surgeries, returning to their daily lives. This is the result of two meaningful volunteer surgery missions led by Professor Hattori Tadashi from Hue Eye Hospital and other humanitarian organizations.

On June 18, a free reading station was launched on the train connecting heritages between Hue and Da Nang, featuring around 150 books set up by the Provincial Development Research Institute in collaboration with other units and projects.

On June 14th, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, was awarded the Certification of European standard neonatal resuscitation training center by representatives of the European Resuscitation Council and Newborns Vietnam organization.
