| "Acoustic Love Night" captures audience attention |
With the desire to raise funds to help children with cancer at Hue Central Hospital, a group of students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Sciences, Hue University, carried out the "Acoustic Love Night" project at An Nhien Garden Vegetarian (Hue City). The concert garnered significant attention from the audience, with more than 100 tickets sold out in a short time. All profits from ticket sales and donations during the event were given to pediatric cancer patients.
Quach Ngoc Chau Anh, Head of the project organizing committee, said: "When we visited Hue Central Hospital, the gifts were handed out to the children, and the members felt extremely happy. Finally, we managed to gather some funds to help the children. Seeing the belief and hope in the children's eyes further motivated the group to continue doing more meaningful projects for the community and society in the future."
Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Nhung, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Sciences, Hue University, stated: "Recently, the Faculty has increased skill and practical courses for students to early gain access to the profession and practical skills. With a spirit of teamwork, the students are very united from brainstorming to the final stages of completing the project. The equal distribution of tasks among group members according to their strengths helped to maximize capabilities and ensure project progress. At the same time, this activity contributes to spreading love to build a civilized and happy community."
Not only students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, but currently, many students, clubs, and groups at Hue University also organize music activities to raise funds to help the community and those in difficult circumstances. Recently, the Social Work Team from the University of Law, Hue University, organized two concerts at the Lim wooden pedestrian bridge to raise funds and give gifts to poor children in Quang Tri province.
Tran Nguyen Phuoc Trien, team leader, said: "The fundraising concert is the first form of charity work we have implemented. Being the first time, there were many difficulties regarding the venue and forms of fundraising sales. Fortunately, the members were very enthusiastic and determined. Initially, it was quite difficult to connect the audience with the program, but thinking about the smiles of those in need of support, the members brushed aside the sweat and heat to create wonderful programs together. The spiritual and material support from the audience helped the program succeed and spread good values."
Similarly, the Social Work Team and the Revolutionary Song Team from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, successfully organized the "Sing for Love - Send Love" music program, combined with selling ice cream and yogurt to raise funds. After the program, members of the two teams visited the Tam Binh Disability Center (Hue City). Minh Quan, Team Leader of the Social Work Team from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, shared: "I am very proud and touched to have done a good deed. The team will always maintain and develop the program in future terms to raise charitable funds to help those in difficult circumstances. We hope that everyone and benefactors will always support the Social Work Team."
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hue University, commented that using music to raise funds for charity is a new and creative approach by the young generation of Hue University. With their youth and enthusiasm, the students are contributing to meaningful social activities. In the future, the Youth Union of Hue University will expand such activities to further promote and spread charitable work.
