Medical workforce and supplies ready for emergency services during Tet

During the working session, leaders of Hue Central Hospital reported on their operational results in 2025 and plans for on-duty staffing and patient treatment for the period before, during, and after the Lunar New Year. According to Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, 2025 was a year of significant achievements. The hospital recruited 450 doctors and healthcare workers while completing legal procedures regarding environmental standards and hospital planning. Medical examination and treatment activities continued to grow, with over 1 million outpatient and follow-up visits (a 17% increase from the previous year); and an 8.4% increase in inpatient treatments.

Regarding preparations for medical services during the Lunar New Year, the hospital has established a 24/24 duty schedule, ensuring a full roster of leaders, doctors, nurses, and specialized medical teams. Additionally, stocks of medicine, supplies, and medical equipment have been prepared to ensure that medical examination, treatment, and emergency services remain uninterrupted throughout Tet holiday.

Speaking at the visit and working session, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen acknowledged and congratulated Hue Central Hospital on its outstanding achievements in 2025, particularly in medical examination and treatment, human resource training, and disaster and flood prevention and control. The Deputy Minister requested that the hospital continue to review and implement its four-tier duty system during Tet, ensuring sufficient medical workforce, transport, and supplies to provide safe and timely emergency and treatment services for patients.

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of the Ministry of Health continued to visit and inspect the preparations and medical services for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 at the Central Regional Center of Forensic Psychiatry, and Quang Dien Commune Health Station.
