Hue City Association for Promoting Education:
Awarding 100 Scholarships to Outstanding Students Overcoming Hardships
HNN.VN - Heading towards the 136th anniversary of the birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), on the morning of May 16, the City Association for Promoting Education held the May 19 program to award scholarships to students facing difficult circumstances in the city area.

Accordingly, the Association for Promoting Education awarded 100 scholarships, each worth VND 1 million, to resilient and academically motivated students who have overcome difficult circumstances. The recipients included 40 primary school students, 40 secondary school students, and 20 high school students. Funding for the scholarship program was mobilized through support from Que Lam Group and Dinh Thien Ly Scholarship Fund.
Communes and wards selected 2 outstanding students from each locality, including 1 primary school student and 1 secondary school student, who have overcome difficult circumstances and shown strong determination and perseverance in their studies. For the high school level, the Department of Education and Training, in coordination with schools, selected 20 students recognized for their resilience and outstanding academic achievements and personal development to award scholarships.
According to Mr. Phan Cong Tuyen, Chairman of the City Association of Promoting Education, the scholarship awarding program not only provides support for disadvantaged students but also serves as a timely source of encouragement, helping foster and spread the spirit of overcoming hardships among students across the city on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth anniversary.
Over the years, Hue City Association for Promoting Education has actively mobilized resources from businesses, philanthropists, organizations, individuals, and social groups to build up study promotion and talent development funds, providing support for students who have overcome hardships and achieved academic success. As a result, numerous scholarship programs and educational encouragement awards have been effectively maintained, contributing to the promotion of lifelong learning and the development of a strong learning culture within the community.
As of July 2025, the Associations for Promoting Education at all levels across the city awarded 17,123 scholarships with a total value exceeding VND 12 billion.
