Awarding Vingroup scholarships to 190 students

HNN.VN - On December 6th, the Provincial Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Thien Tam Foundation, presented Vingroup scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Awarding 200 Mai Dolch scholarships worth nearly 2.5 billion VND to students108 scholarships awarded to students with disabilities, to agent orange victims and underprivileged children74 Nguyen Chi Thanh talent promotion scholarships awarded to students winning national prizes50 full scholarships for doctoral and master courses in Japan for Vietnamese officials and civil servants

 Scholarships given to disadvantaged students

A total of 190 students were qualified to receive scholarships through the program. Among them, 107 students from underprivileged families with good or excellent academic performance had their scholarships renewed from previous years. The minimum financial support for each student is 700,000 VND per month for nine months, applicable to primary through high school students. For college and university students, tuition fees are covered based on verified receipts from their respective schools, up to a maximum of 20 million VND per academic year.

In recent years, the Thien Tam Foundation, in partnership with the Provincial Red Cross Society, has conducted surveys, compiled profiles, and awarded scholarships to hundreds of students, providing over 2 billion VND in annual support. This program carries profound humanitarian significance, showcasing Vingroup’s dedication to supporting disadvantaged but determined students. It helps them sustain their education and nurture their future aspirations.
